Longtime investigative reporter Ian Lind, Jr. Bow Class of 1965 (left), and Walter Ritte appeared at the Native Hawaiian Convention yesterday, 07.21.26, to be recognized for their participation in the January 1976 landing on Kaho’olawe, a protest against the Navy’s bombing of the island. That day, 50 years ago, is widely considered to be one of the key sparks of the Hawaiian Renaissance on the 1970s.
