From Bill Teter:
Aloha all,
I got this message this evening from the Hawaii Speech League Tournament Chair about the State Championship Tournament this Saturday:
Hi Coaches,
The State Speech Tournament is this weekend. If each school only supplies their required judges (speech entries divided by 3 rounded up + 1) we will have 44 judges per round. With 17 rooms of competition we need a minimum of 51 judges per round. And that is if every judge is able to judge every round with no student/school conflicts. If you want the tournament to be held this weekend, please try to scrounge up an extra judge or 2 or 3 and send them Rebecca’s way.
The Lab School has met its quota, but the tournament is still short. Is there anyone who is able to help with even a few rounds? The tournament is online but live (except for Duo Interpretation; competitors in this event have submitted videos for judging). Here’s the schedule:
7:30 a.m. Judges Check-in & Instructions
8:00 – 9:45 Round 1 Speech
10:00 – 11:30 Round 2 Speech
12:00 – 1:30 Round 3 Speech
2:30 – 4:00 FINAL ROUND
Please let me know right away if you can help. My email is bill_teter@universitylaboratoryschool.org
