This award is in honor of James Whalen, ULS Class of 2013. James was born with a heart condition and a very positive attitude toward life. In spite of his physical challenges, James met each one of his challenges with a positive outlook; with patience and perseverance. James passed away in 2014. Our memories of James live on in our hearts with his infectious spirit of life and happiness through tough times with gentleness and gratitude.
This award honors a senior student who over the years at ULS has persevered through challenges and adversities with a positive outlook, diligent and thoughtful work, and has succeeded and triumphed with humility and pride.
