Call for ULS Speech Judges Needed 10/25 @ Maryknoll

Jr. Bow ‘Ohana, as many of you know, our speech and debate team is always in need of event judges. Not only is the Lab School always in need of judges, but that also means that the Hawai’i Speech League in general is always in need of judges. By volunteering to judge even one round, you are helping all the Lab School kids and all the other kids from all the other schools.

Here’s a message from coach Alex Fox:

Aloha ULS Speech and Debate Friends and Family,

Our 2025-26 Hawaii Speech League season is underway and we are in sincere need of judges for our upcoming tournament on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at Maryknoll High School (1402 Punahou Street).

At each competition, we must provide one judge for every three entries. At Maryknoll, we will need 5 judges in order for our students to compete. Please help us to fulfill this requirement by emailing us here to confirm your interest and availability. 

The schedule for the tournament is below. Judges will need to be available from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM on the day. Breakfast (coffee and pastries) and lunch (bentos and/or pizza) will be provided. 

No prior experience is necessary. We will send you all of the information needed to be an effective judge.

Please respond ASAP, as we must register judges by 10/20.
