Mahalo for your interest in the EOEL Public Pre-K program for your keiki!

The EOEL Public Prekindergarten Program is provided in collaboration with the Hawai’i Department of Education (HIDOE). The program provides high-quality learning experiences that address children’s physical development and health, social and emotional development, cognition, language and literacy, and approaches to learning.

EOEL currently operates classrooms on all islands and also offers programs in Hawaiian language immersion. Classroom locations are on select HIDOE campuses and are free to eligible children. All teachers are highly qualified and class size is limited to 20 children with 2 teachers per classroom. 

Mission: The EOEL Public Prekindergarten Program fosters each child’s optimal growth and learning in all developmental domains and across academic discipline areas through high-quality early childhood experiences. We provide a safe, caring equitable environment where children, families, and colleagues learn together through trusting reciprocal relationships.
