This summer Cayleigh is working as a Law Clerk on Senator Mazie Hirono’s Judiciary Committee team. Senator Hirono is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is tasked with holding confirmation hearings for federal judge nominees and considering pending legislation on legal issues such as civil liberties and immigration, among other functions. As a Law Clerk, Cayleigh will work with the Senator’s counsel to support her work on the Committee.
She graduated in 2020 from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service with a degree in International Security. Then she worked for three years as a paralegal at a workers’ rights law firm, and just finished her first year of law school at the University of Virginia School of Law.
