This past week, Bill Teter, Lab School emeritus speech and debate coach, received a double honor from the Hawai’i Speech League.
First, he was inducted into the HSL Hall of Fame in recognition of his 35 years of outstanding achievement and commitment to the League. He received this recognition not only for his mentoring of the Lab School speech and debate students, but for serving on the HSL Board for most of those 35 years, and for mentoring up and coming coaches of other teams in the League.
Second, and quite a special honor indeed, the Impromptu category of speech will now be officially titled Bill Teter Impromptu.
Congratulations to Bill on his terrific speech and debate coaching career at the Lab School. He will be missed.
