Jr. Bow ‘Ohana, please donate to the school if you can

Aloha ULS Ohana,

As we said farewell to a successful 2022-2023 school year, we now welcome the 2023-2024 school year with much optimism for greatness. The success of our students directly correlates with the tremendous generosity of our supporters. Repeating last year’s success will depend on the giving hearts of our University Laboratory School (ULS) ‘Ohana, alumni, community, and private supporters. 

The current University Laboratory School Foundation (ULSF) is a small working foundation that tirelessly volunteers their time to shepherd four major funds:

• The Jr. Bows General Endowment Fund
• The Parent Appeal Fund
• The Leighton Wong ULS Athletic Support Fund 
• The Music and Secondary Language Fund

Along with shepherding these four funds, the ULSF also annually sponsors and services two major fundraising events: the ULS Golf Tournament and the ULS Alumni Dinner.  Our mission is twofold: (1) supplement the school financially for improvements, activities, and events through grants, investments, and appeal, and (2) help to position the ULS to sustain and prosper into the future.

In years past our donations have gone to various facility upgrades, ULS curriculum development, program development, and essential learning materials and equipment. As a result of this collective effort, our current ULS students and their families benefit immediately! 

The ULSF has set a goal of raising $500,000 this year. In the past, we have asked for a donation of $1,500, however, we understand that these are challenging times, and we ask that you give what you can. We can meet our goal if every family donates $1,000, along with alumni, community, and private support. So please consider contributing today.

Here are ways to give to ULS today:

• GIVE ONLINE:  If you would like to give via credit card, please go to ulsfoundation.org/ways-to give. Please be sure to navigate the drop box when choosing which fund you would like to donate towards.

• MAIL IT:  Please make your check donation payable to: 

University Lab School Foundation and mail to P.O. Box 11208, Honolulu, HI 96828.

• DROP OFF:  Please drop off your cash or check donation to the ULS School Office at: 

1776 University Ave. Room #3-121, Honolulu, HI 96822.
