Join us at the annual ULS Alumni Dinner

If you thought it was great that we’re reviving the Jr. Bow Annual Golf Tournament this July 21st, then here is some equally good news. After a three year hiatus, the annual alumni dinner is back on July 8th as well.

As you can see, Betty Nakamoto and Bill Teter will be honored guests. Why? Because even though they look like they’re in their 30s, they both just retired. Thanks to all of you Jr. Bows who knew them, they’ve remained young at heart.

Important: I have an observation based on many past dinners — I’ve attended all except one since we started this in 2001 (not counting the covid cancelled 2020/21/22 dinners). Sometimes a graduate will come to the dinner only to find that no one else he or she knows is there. Sometimes that person will turn around and leave, or maybe stay for a little while. But it’s no fun sitting by yourself, so that person leaves.

Jr. Bows, the way to make sure you know people who are there is to tell all your Jr. Bow buddies you’re going to the dinner and that they should come, too. Bring a crowd with you. Bring your family. Hey, some grads bring their parents. That’s great. They’re all welcome.

Oh, as you can see from the flyer, we’re going back to potluck. Please bring a dish to share, but please, please, don’t bring large quantities of food. There is always so much food left over.

And if you’re uncomfortable with potluck, feel free to bring a plate lunch, bento, or whatever you would like to eat.

Also, if you’re uncomfortable with being indoors, there is a lot of outdoor seating now. I mean a-space-lot of it, almost all of it covered.

Make sure to RSVP and come help us celebrate the retiring youngsters, Bill and Betty.
